Filatura Di Crosa Portofino

Filatura di Crosa Portofino is a shimmery blend of cotton and viscose. Portofino alternates a solid colored thread with a multicolored, shiny one that adds tons of visual texture. Portofino knits up at a worsted weight and would make beautiful, lightweight sweaters, shawls and tops. Made in Italy

Comments about Filatura Di Crosa Portofino:

I am currently knitting a lady's sweater top with Portofino New Penny. I particularly like the color variarion in the yarn and the soft texture. The only challenge: Due to the viscose content the yarn is a bit slippery on the needle. However, once I got used to this quality, it does appear to be knitting up evenly.

Comments about Filatura Di Crosa Portofino:

I got this to try a summer scarf in purse stitch. I've made two in regular dishcloth cotton and I thought this would give a nice drape. I was wrong. SSK is so hard in this yarn it's not worth it. It also is just not pretty in this stitch. Looks like static.
