I knitted a two piece dress. Very happy with it. Dress is beautiful, soft, pleasant touch to my skin, very worm, good to wear in a cold days. You can have a look at the dress here:http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Lasska/queen-swan-dressYarns knits very quickly, not slippery, not many knots, I had just a few in the first skein, all other skeins was knot free :-)After finish knitting I washed the dress in a washing machine with liquid laundry detergent using wool cycle and did not spin, dry flat on the terry towel. Dress did not deform at all.I will buy this yarn again for top or skirt or scarf for my mother in law, she will love it!

I used this product to knit a doll sweater. I had lots of problems with it, but the finished product looked and felt great. I'm not sure it was worth the trouble. It snags easily. When you try to take out what you've knitted in order to fix an error, it tangles up, snags, and breaks.

    Comments about Rowan Kidsilk Haze:

I have been knitting for over fifteen years but I had never knit with mohair yarn before. There was a slight learning curve because the fuzziness of the yarn makes the actual strand a little hard to see. The yarn itself is just yummy -- soft, has a slight sheen from the silk, and has a luxe feel to it. I am considering another project with this yarn in the future.

    Comments about Rowan Kidsilk Haze:

I've knit everything from lacework to stockinette colorwork shawls/garments with KSH, the results are consistently lovely. IMO, this kid mohair is softer than other versions with same fiber content. Its strand appears sparse but knits into a cloud with body, drape and just enough density. I knit several variations of Kaffe Fassett's Earth Stripe Shawl (w/KSH doubled)- and it was Wow! I was stopped and complimented constantly wearing it. Recently I combined KSH w/a fingering wt. yarn to knit up the Churchmouse Modern Wrapper (easy-peasy Kimono-style open cardigan, v. excellent end result, see Ravelry). Every swatch I tried looked GREAT with a tonal KSH color. Love combining two lightwt. yarns, one being KSH the other a fingering yarn to yield a fantastic fabric for any simple garment. It is large needle knitting without snaggy, gappy, or bulky end result. Really amazed by the combo.

I prefer KSH to Shibui kid yarn, too. Color range is excellent, colors are mouth-watering, feel is incredibly soft. BTW, Kaffe Fassett designed several shawls in KSH which are GORGEOUS.
As with all mohair, the yarn will lock up once knit, so frogging is unpleasant. This is true of ALL mohair yarns in my experience, KSH is no different. It's my workhorse yarn.

I needed a mohair yarn to to carry along with a fingering-weight silk to make a shawl. The yarns work well together and I'm very happy with the colors and textures.

Kid silk Haze is beautiful used on its own, but it also adds a lovely halo when combine with another yarn and knitted together. I have d used it to add softness to a raw silk yarn; added a strand of KSH to mute and blend the colours of a highly variegated yarn. On its own, it makes a light weight airy warm fabric that is lovely to wear in the summer on its own or in winter over other garments.

I found this yarn to be incredibly difficult to work with It's VERY thin and I found it to shed.
I abandoned the project because of the thin-ness.

          Comments about Rowan Kidsilk Haze:

This is the best Mohair/Silk blend that is currently available. I used it for a lace wedding shawl and it performed beyond my expectations. The final garment was weightless and airy with a beautiful halo one expects from mohair. I used a cream color that was consistent throughout. The nap on the yarn is long enough that you can make joins by simply twisting the two strands together for a couple of inches then knitting. The join is totally invisible even on lace work. This is so soft. It did shed a bit, but that was after it had been handled a great deal. I might also add that it was extremely easy to block the finished garment.

I crocheted a three-cornered shawl of Kidsilk Haze for my daughter who was married in Hawaii this week. The shawl, in spite of being very lacey, is very warm! She was pretty pleased when she received it. I had a fun time making it except when I needed to frog. The halo fibers really mesh together, so if you're using this product, be certain you're not making mistakes ... ripping back is not fun!
