Valley Yarns
Knitcircus Gerberada
Pattern available for purchase as part of the Knitcircus Magazine, Spring 2011 Pattern collection
This shawlette is designed to show off a beautiful hand-dyed yarn and make beaded lace accessible. The long collar shape is versatile for transitional weather; wear it up around your neck for warmth or draped over your shoulders for style. Dress it up for a wedding, scrunch it with a jean jacket or wear it under your lapels for a business lunch!
A new knitter can tackle Gerbarada without the beads with beautiful results. The more experienced knitter will love adding that little extra sparkle. Work the shawlette side-to-side, knitting on the lace edges as you go, with simple increases for the garter stitch shawl body, and adding beads using the crochet hook method.
