Comments about Lantern Moon Destiny Rosewood 16" Circular Needles:
I actually love these needles and was surprised to see the negative reviews. I've used the straights, circulars and dpns.
As a knitter in general, I only use circulars, and I've been really happy with these. As a rough estimate, I think I have about a dozen pairs of circulars. There was a bit of roughness on a single pair that smoothed out pretty quickly. I've never broken one, they've never seemed to get dry or brittle. The join may not be the best, but it's better than other needles I've used, and I've never found the joins especially troublesome.
I've been intrigued by the notion of square needles and gave them a spin with disastrous results. I've had 3 needles of an interchangeable set arrive with such snags and catches that I actually couldn't knit with them. I had one snap off at the join for no apparent reason... they're spendier, but I think I'll stick withe Lantern Moons.

Comments about Lantern Moon Destiny Rosewood 16" Circular Needles:
These are pretty needles, but so terrible frustrating to try to use. It's the joins on mine that are not good, they are not smooth, they catch the yarn every time. A needle this expensive should be absolutely smooth. I was so disappointed in this product and disgusted with myself to think I let a picture of this needle blow my common sense away. I am sorry I wasted my money on this needle.

Comments about Lantern Moon Destiny Rosewood 16" Circular Needles:
I used for half a row on a small lace piece, using a silk yarn I have used a lot, and the joint was so bad that I didn't even waste time knitting it off. I have used circular needles for almost forty years and never found one as bad. These are embarrassing for Webs and I shall throw mine away.

Comments about Lantern Moon Destiny Rosewood 16" Circular Needles:
Sure, these are truly lovely to look at and the price tag makes them seem elusive, but they're hands-down my least favorite needles. First of all, Lantern Moon needles seem to have some sort of glossy finish that I at first mistook for simply smoothness of the wood. The finish is easily cracked/scratched/worn off and snags yarn. It reminds me of when nail polish starts chipping off of nails. A big gripe I have regarding the destiny circulars in particular - the join is NOT a smooth one. I knit rather loosely, and every single time the fabric was pushed from the cord to the LH needle, the yarn snagging on the joint sounded like cracking knuckles. A few rounds was enough to make me put down my work and make a special trip to my LYS to buy new circular needles. I hate writing bad reviews...I can honestly say that I have tried at least 5 different types of Lantern Moon needles (sock dpns, straights, and circulars) and the problems are consistent.
