I have had this set for over a year and do a lot of knitting so they have seen heavy use. I have only had the cord become separated from the needle while knitting twice and never had any other malfunctions. I always make sure the cord is screwed tightly into the needle before beginning. I love the versatility of interchangeable needles-- it's so easy to go up or down a needle size for ribbing, etc... and to add cord length in the middle of a project in order to try it on. This set is beautiful and well-made. I would highly recommend!

This product has been on my Christmas list for 2 years. Christmas 2010, I bought a set of rosewood needles and a set of the bamboo interchangeable needles to compare the two, as at that time there were not many reviews for the Colonial Rosewood needles.
Upon comparison, the rosewood needles were by far the smoothest and easiest to handle. I found myself working with more projects to accommodate the size needles I purchased.
Christmas 2011, the rosewood needles were again on my Christmas list. I did not receive them and purchased them for myself after the new year. I traveled by plane for business and thought that it would be great to take my needles with me for convenience. Wouldn't you know it, one of each of the two sets I took with me broke!!!! Size 4 fell out of it's metal base. The Size 5 broke in half in my bag!
I've had them for less than 4 months and I had to purchase super glue to continue to use the two sizes I use the most! The joining isn't bad, the feel of the rosewood needles is superb; however, I've been knitting for nearly 20 years and have NEVER had such an issue with any of my needles! I've never had any break before, warped yes, lost yes, but never broke.
It really did disappoint me that I spent so much money on an item that at face value had such great quality.

Service and delivery comments:
I emailed about the disappointment I had in my Rosewood Interchangeable Needles. That was over a week ago, and I have not heard anything from the WEBS individuals. I will think twice about ordering from WEBS again and will use another site that other knitter friends use more often. Not worth it.

Comments about Colonial Needle Company Rosewood Interchangeable Knitting Needles:
Joins are horrible on this, and the needles are too short. The wood is beautiful so it is a shame. Way too many dropped stitches and snags on expensive yarn. Going to try the bamboo sets with the click in joins. This was too expensive a set to have so many issues.

Comments about Colonial Needle Company Rosewood Interchangeable Knitting Needles:
The needles themselves are beautiful, however the cords and connectors are not of very good quality. I have already snapped a cord, it just tore right in two. I have had this set less than a year, and I am just not pleased with it. I have 3 size needles (6,7,9)that constantly pop off the cords. It is frustrating because I don't always notice right away and have to spend time picked up all the slipped off stitches. I like the convenience of having an interchangeable set, but for the price, this wasn't the best purchase.
Comments about Colonial Needle Company Rosewood Interchangeable Knitting Needles:
These are beautiful needles and I love the wood - the set is lovely. The case is beautiful and the cords are supple and soft. However, the needles constantly come unscrewed from the cords while I'm knitting and I've dropped the needles several times already and almost lost them and dropped stitches also...what a pain. Also my very delicate yarn (silk/linen) consistently catches on the join and I have to stop and work it over the join to continue knitting. It's a shame because it's a beautiful looking set. Just not as functional as the earlier reviews led me to believe. Especially for the price. The needles themselves are quite small. If the wood sections were longer and the joins smoother, I would have liked this set much better, and of course if they stayed connected. Disappointed, as the rosewood is so pretty and the set overall so handy.
Comments about Colonial Needle Company Rosewood Interchangeable Knitting Needles:
This knit needle set is awesome! My husband suprised me with them, and I can't say enough about how amazing they are. With this I now knit faster and smoother! The quality is superb. The needles have such a smooth finish, nice weight and the connections (all of them) are seamless and sturdy. The case is well made and organized-everything you need!! I also love that ALL of the needles have their size printed on them. WORTH THE INVESTMENT
Comments about Colonial Needle Company Rosewood Interchangeable Knitting Needles:
These needles are beautiful, the cords are flexible and the case is just gorgeous. Worth the money.
Comments about Colonial Needle Company Rosewood Interchangeable Knitting Needles:
I absolutely LOVE these needles. They have never come undone while working on a project, stitches never get stuck at the join, 3 different cord lengths make them very versatile, cords are flexible, and the wooden tips are smooth and light. I can't imagine living without them!
Comments about Colonial Needle Company Rosewood Interchangeable Knitting Needles:
I initially bought the size 3 tips and some cords just to test these out since I needed a 3circ and it was cheaper than buying a fixed needle. Within 5 minutes of trying the combo out I was ordering the set. The tips are just lovely. The slope is perfect and they are pointy without splitting your fingertips. The cables and joins are really just the best too. I was worried because it looks like there's a nub at the top of the cord, and there is, but even with the little 3 tips yarn just glides over it SO well. Much better than any of the other needle sets or fixed circs I've had. Definitely a sound investment and a better deal than the lantern moon 300$ set or the addi natura which only comes with 8 tips and no 16" cord.
Comments about Colonial Needle Company Rosewood Interchangeable Knitting Needles:
My husband surprised me with this set, and it's amazing! It feels great to knit with, and everything about it feels special and luxurious.
