Knitter's Pride Cubics Special Interchangeable Needle Set
Knitter's Pride Cubics Special Interchangeable Circular Set includes US 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 short tips. These special tips measure 16" from tip to tip when assembled with the cord. They have a cuboid shape in the body of the needle that gradually gives way to perfectly tapered birch wood points. The ergonomic shape is comfortable to hold, lessens the need to grip tightly, and yields uniform stitch formation. The densified, laminated wood is rich in appearance, yet it is also lightweight, strong, flexible, and warm to the touch. Needle size is measured diagonally and fits into standard needle sizer just like round needles. Two 16" cords are included in the set in addition to 1 set of size markers, 4 end caps and 2 cord keys. The short length is great with keeping the hands from being stressed while knitting. The company can upgrade to a better quality wood to make a stronger needle, the size six broke the first day.

My Cubics #6 needle broke at metal-wood line. This was only the second time I had used it. I will request a replacement and hope this is a one-time deal, although a friend had same experience.

I knit a lot of hats. Truly, a LOT of hats. The cubics needles make my hands far less weary. The 16" length means I can work as speedily as possible because there is nothing fiddly until the last few rows at the top. Tuthfully, the cable is *so* flexible that I can Magic Loop even when down to the last 10 stitches or so! I love the points: perfect for my projects, neither too pointy nor too dull. I love the surface; it's neither too slick nor too "dragging". For me these are the needles I've waited for all my life. Not a single woe or complaint.

I was excited to see they developed a square circular needles with short cables. That they were interchangable was a bonus. But the wood used is cheep I have never broken needles in the past but two of these cubes needles have broken off right at the metal and wood joint while there was knitting on the needles. Ended up having to transfer knitting to other needles. The screw on joints do not always attatch easily to the cable and seem to be very stiff and difficult to manipulate. They often get stuck or cross thread so they are difficult to replace or exchange. I give this product a very poor review because of the cheep, poor wood quality these needles are made from.

I have 2 of the interchangeable short point sets. Use them for everything except really small diameter in the round. I use the cubics dpns for that or magic loop with short points. Since I usually have so many WIP I really need a 3rd set
