Nice friction - neither too slick nor too gripping. Pleasant colors - no distracting pattern. (I am very sensitive to this as I get dizzy easily.) Great cables - neither too stiff nor too flimsy. Handy case for organizing. Wish the needles came in smaller sizes in the I/C set (like 0-2). I don't like needing a tool to join, especially if any old random paperclip cannot be made to function as a joining tool at a moment's notice. These needles are a DREAM for magic loop knitting.

I have had these for about 2 weeks now and have knitted several hats and head bands...I love these needles! Every thing about them is great (see list of pros)! I would highly recommend this set to any one! I also bought the Dreamz Chunky and they are of the same quality. I had never heard of the brand before so was a little cautious, but am very happy with every thing about them.

This is an updated review. Thankfully WEBS stands fully behind their products and have replaced 3 defective cables. When you buy this otherwise wonderful set test all your needles with all your cables - I had to replace one cable twice and replacement for a third is on order because when screwing some needles on some cables the seating is incomplete, leaving a gap which makes it unusable. I'm very appreciative to WEBS for their great customer service but Knitter's Pride needs to take a look at quality control for the machinery of the screws. Once on, mine stay seated but there is a bit of a catch as the yarn travels over that point. I'm considering putting a bit of clear nail polish there to smooth the join, removing it after project completion. Still, they are my favorite needles and I hope they will address this issue for future manufacturing.

I hesitated buying this set for months, my first experience with interchangables; I already had one circular of every size I use, the cost, the possibility that the join would loosen or be rough - finally jumped in (my Valentine's present to myself!) and am so glad I did. The colors are lovely, wood is so smooth and points are just right, no problem at all with joins. I'm getting ready for a long knitting trip and it will be so nice to take this set instead of a jumble of regular circs. I'm a multiple project person and love that I'll be able to leave a project on the cables while using the needles for another. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Aluminum needles can be too slick for some yarn, and other yarns catch on bamboo needles. These needles are the perfect balance, and work well with both acrylic and natural fibers.

I had a little trouble with the joins unscrewing, but then realized you have to turn the needle, not the part connected to the cable.

Best birthday present I could have received.

OK so, I love these needles. It pains me to give them 4 out of 5 stars. I wish I could give them 4.5 or 4.75, even. First, I love the colors and the quality of the set. I like that they're labeled (on the needle, which does rub off, but also on the metal part). My cables that came with the set were not labeled as to what size they were either, so I just measured (additional cables I ordered were labeled... weird).

I like that these are pointy but not sharp, and smooth but not super-slick. They hit all the right notes. I don't get any drag UNLESS they are starting to come unscrewed... which, unfortunately, they sometimes do. I'm fairly new to the world of interchangeable circs, so I don't know what to say about this. All I do is check every once in a while to see if they're loosening. If they are, I tighten. Plus, you can feel the yarn start to catch in the space at the join if they're loosening. Maybe it's the way I knit, I'm not sure. . I'm not certain if this happens to others, or if it's my pair, or something that happens with all interchangeable circs - I'm not informed enough to report on this. It's not a huge deal, in my opinion, and definitely nothing that would dissuade me from recommending these to someone else.

I really enjoy Knitter's Pride needles & products, and these are no exception.

I love these needles (I love the Harmony's made by them for Knit Picks too) but what I am especially excited about is the "special" length needle tips they offer in all the best sizes for use with a 16" cable which is PERFECT for working on cowls and hats. The needles have just the right grab, the cables stay snug and when I use an extender I have never had an issue with them coming undone.

I always use the 16" cables with the stopper disks to hold the stitches for sleeves in top down garments rather than putting them on stitch pins... they're more flexible and doesn't pull the stitches out of shape like an inflexible pin does.

Knitters Pride stands behind their product (and KP products as well) 100% so whenever I had an issue I just call and they take care of it right away. I just can't say enough good things about Knitters Pride

These are my first set of interchangeable knitting needles and I have been knitting for 40 years. I love them. The tips and joins are smooth. The needles look beautiful and have just the right amount of grab for me. I have gone on to order the double points too.

When I received these needles I was very suprised as to how smooth they are and how much more impressive the colors are in person. I found that these needles have a bit of tact to them, not as much as some bamboo varieties that I have used but some nonetheless. I find this characteristic is useful when knitting certain yarns which may knit up looser on a smoother needle, they tighten up the stitches beautifuly without creating too much tension. The wood is light and easy to handle. Knitters Pride Dreamz needles are a pleasure to knit with.

Asked my husband for a more inexpensive set, he got me these instead, and I am so glad. The cords are not stiff, the needles themselves have such a nice glide and the color coding and bags make them very easy to keep track of. I just love them.
