Knitter's Pride Cubics Interchangeable Circular Deluxe Set
Knitter's Pride Cubics Interchangeable Deluxe Set includes 7 tips in US sizes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10 1/2, and 11. They have a cuboid shape in the body of the needle that gradually gives way to perfectly tapered birch wood points. The ergonomic shape is comfortable to hold, lessens the need to grip tightly, and yields uniform stitch formation. The densified, laminated wood is rich in appearance, yet it is also lightweight, strong, flexible, and warm to the touch. Needle size is measured diagonally and fits into standard needle sizer just like round needles. It also inclueds 4 cords (1 - 24", 2 - 32", 1 - 40") 1 set of size markers, 4 end caps, 4 cord keys. Fabulous set of circular needles

For some reason I was resistant to buying circular needle sets in the past. Then, as connectors broke and needles were lost I revisited the idea of an interchangeable solution, particularly for travel. The Cubic's novel shape and wood construction eventually made me decide to give them a try. In the end, I'm glad I took the plunge!
I was surprised at the overall lightness of these needles. Their metal connectors, however, have more than adequate threading for a truly solid join. The black cords are also ultra thin yet super strong. All in all, it's a very attractive yet functional design.
The included needle sizes make good sense and the chosen cable lengths suit me perfectly. The accessories are nice and the storage case is both functional and compact.
I find the cubic needle shape easy to manipulate and the wooden tips warm to the touch. A fully assembled needle is about as light as it gets, in my experience. With arthritic hands these are hot selling features!
I therefore had no choice but to buy the shorter set of needles, as well. With smaller circular work, such as sleeves, the shorter tip length makes better sense.
With both Cubics sets on hand I'm ready now for all my seamless sweater projects. The cost does not seem unduly prohibitive to me and should easily fall within the range of gift giving. So, I'd suggest you either gift yourself a set or drop the hint. This is truly a novel design which I highly recommend for your consideration!

I was excited about ordering because I love the cubic needles, and the interchangeables was my attempt to cut down on all the crazy needles in my studio. Unfortunately, the needle broke in half on first use and I assempled it correctly and am not a tense knitter. Overall, I love the concept but would advise others to be very gentle with these fragile needles. I would love to see a set of metal cubic interchangeables.

The square shape of the needle is supposed to be easier to hold and creates less tension in hands and shoulders. i would say this is true for me.

Due to pain in hands, arms, and shoulders I am learning to knit Continental style. The cubics are easier on my hands, and have helped me with beautiful even stitches while learning the Continental knitting style. Love them. Would highly recommend them. They feel somewhat delicate, and I am slightly concerned they could break, but have been assured they would be replaced if that were the case.

I never would have imagined how fragile these needles are! 3 needles broke before I finished my first project! Plus the cables loosen frequently during knitting - very irritating. They look pretty in the case, just not very practical or functional.

The needles are nice looking and ergonomic;however, they always become unscrewed. I screw the wires on and tighten them and they continue to become unscrewed when I knit. Also, the wire seem to always become unattached while knitting and it becomes a mess. I wasted over 100.00 buying two sets of these needles. I wish I could return them.

Received this set as a gift. Casting on with first use, #6 needle snapped at the connection. Needless to say I'm disappointed. I do not have a rough hand. I wondered why these needles weren't available in smaller sizes - is it the fragility at smaller diameter? Otherwise, the cords are good and the feel of the needles is great.

the needles feel nice in the hands and doesn't slip out of the stitches. the points are perfect, but some of the needles are rough for about a half inch where the metal has been connected which makes it hard to push the stitches on to the needles from the cord.

I was very excited to try this set, went to attach the needle onto the cable and the needle broke off at the metal cuff. So much for the excitement! In all fairness the company said they would send me a new one, to bad it seems to take forever to get stuff from them.
