I bought this set in March (it is not October) and I've had absoutely no regrets. Even as a college student on a budget, I found the initial "down payment" for these needles was well worth it. I also love that if I need something not included in the set, finding additional tip sizes or cable lengths is easy.

I started knitting on straight metal needles and then moved to circulars from Boye, so the transition to my Knitter's Pride needles was great. Since I'm a bit of a tighter knitter, I appreciate the sharp, slick tips. The cables are flexible and strong.

The only problem I have is securing the smaller tip sizes -- it's hard to grip the thinner needles. But it's an easy fix -- I just wrap a rubber band around the needle as I use the key to fasten.

If you're expecting to carry around a lot of notions and tools, I'd recommend buying another case. I try to keep to the minimum essentials (scissors, tapestry needle, a set of DPNs for whatever size I'm using), or else I have to dump everything out of the back pouch just to find what I'm looking for.

As an avid hat and cowl maker, these shorter tips mean I don't have to switch to DPNs so quickly. I even use these needles when I'm knitting flat.

I definitely recommend this set. Have not tried the wooden version, but I'm so pleased with the nickel tips that I won't be buying a new set anytime soon.

I wish I had discovered this set earlier, it's perfect for knitting hats and smaller circumferences in the round. I LOVE that the sizes are marked on the individual needle tips, it makes finding the right size so much easier. The set comes in a nice case and I love that it includes needle tip ID tags, I find these so useful when you need to remove the tips for other projects!

I opted to buy this set because it seemed to have the widest range of available tip sizes. I ordered the standard set and bought additional tips to expand it down to size 2 and up to size 15, which is great for the lower sizes, since many other brand sets seemed to only go down as low as 4.

So far I have been happy with the needles. The cables are super flexible and great for magic loop as well as regular knitting in the round. They don't hold kinks or have memory shape at all, which is something that has bothered be in the past when I used other brands of circular needles, especially the Boye fixed circulars with the stiff, clear plastic cables that always wanted to curl up on me.

The tips seem to attach sturdily to the cords and I haven't had any issues with them coming loose in the middle of a project. The keys are flimsy and easily bent out of shape, but I'm sure a paper clip would fit in that little hole too if they all wear out. The key holes are also nice for stringing dental floss through to easily put in a lifeline. I also like the feel of the metal better than some of the other aluminum needles I've used.

The clear vinyl case that comes with it is kind of a throwaway: I'm looking for something nicer. The pouch for the cables is also where I put the keys and end caps, but that pouch is so stiff that the little keys can easily fall out int he gap where the flap folds over. Just not that nice and more utilitarian than I would like.

The only real gripe I have about this set is that some of the needles seem to become tarnished, especially towards the non-tip end. I say tarnish because it looks and feels like silver tarnish to me, and comes off when I wipe with a fine metal tarnish-remover, although perhaps it's something else happening. It's strange though, since you would think comsidering the amount of time these spend going through my hands that it wouldn't be a problem, but the tarnish comes back soon after removing it, even when I've been knitting a lot. However, since this doesn't seem to affect the smoothness of the stitches sliding along, or rub off any icky colors on my yarn, it's really just a cosmetic issue and not something I'm too worried about.

Overall, I think it's well worth the price for the standard set and the ability to expand it to smaller and larger tips by the each.

I like this product, I was a bit timid to try due to another set that has to be twisted on rather than quick click, and I must say, these are fantastic! Easy to use, cords are flexible and they are reasonably priced. Highly recommend if you need these for hat making or other smaller projects made with circs and they also come with end caps to use like straights if need be. Way to go WEBS for this special set!
