Comments about Pony Pearl Double Pointed Needles:

I heard about Pony double-points from the blog of the "Heathen Housewife", who said to scoop them up anywhere you saw them, since they were the perfect sock needle. Now that I'm working on my own copy of her sock blankie(which you can see on Ravelry on my projects), I tried out my first set of Pony's and I love the warm and flexible feeling in my hands--they are just the nicest to use! The only thing--I prefer super-sharp points, and I worked some decreases at a tight gauge, which was difficult with these points.

Anyway, I will buy more of the Pony double-points for sure--they are much more warm and comfortable than anything else, and though I haven't torture-tested them, they must be stronger than any wood or bamboo needle!

I love the Pony Pearl DPNs. I was hesitant to try them at first because I generally have not been too fond of plastic needles in the past. But these are great - warm with a bit of flex & just enough "stickiness" to keep stitches from flying off - a big plus when knitting socks. I also like the blunt tips because one of my favorite sock yarns is quite splitty. And they are virtually indestructible (I cannot count the number of wooden & casein needles that have snapped during use & I don't think I am particularly hard on needles). And I don't think you can beat the price. I also love that they come in different colors for different sizes. Otherwise, it is surprisingly easy to mix up a 2.25 mm needle with a 2.5 mm needle. Overall, especially considering price & durability, these are by far my favorite DPNs.

I have been using these needles for years! I love them, they are warm in your hands, and bendable so they are easy on my joints. they are not too slick so they do not fall out of my knitting, and this is such a plus point wwhen i knit socks! i hate picking up little stitches! Im so glad Webs has them now, I wish they carried the entire line of single points and circulars so i could round out my selection at home. these needles are great quality for the price, and i am a true Pony lover!!!
