this was the fifth or sixth time buying this brand. I have had nothing but good experiences with them.

I find these wood knitting needles to be the best I have ever used. They withstand use, sometimes abuse, as I have a very tight grip when I knit--depending on the yarn--and they never have splintered like other woods or bamboo needles.
My only complaint is the size variety is very limited to the smaller needles. Some of the middle range or larger--for bulky yarns--are not available.
I think they would support heavier yarns, if they were offered.
They are my favorite needle to use, though they limit me to lighter weight yarns and more delicate projects.

The first pair of Susanne's circular needles that I got was great, so I bought a second pair. I didn't make it very far before the joint came loose. I am disappointed at the poor quality.

Susanne's Ebony Needles cannot be imitated. The join on the circular needles does not catch the yarn like other brands. The needles are constructed out of old pianos found in Europe and the legacy of the product I find fascinating.

I bought these needles because I love to use wood over any other material. Not only were these needles easy to work with but they do not catch the yarn, tug or snag any type of natural materials used. Truly a plus because I find metal drags and gets very scratched eventually making knitting very slow.
Plastic or acrylic needles and I just do not get along, they just do not feel good in my fingers and drag on the silk wool blends I like to use a lot.
Bamboo is my least favorite knitting needle because it splinters and does not age well, especially the way I knit.
Love these specialty wood needles both straights and circular are my favorite.

Love dpns in rosewood for socks, circs for sweaters, straights for lacework. Tips are not too blunt to pick up small stitches or frog small stuff where dropping a stitch would not be fun. Joins are so smooth you hardly know they're there. Luxury is the name of the game.

I can only use wooden needles, and these are the best I've found. Durable, smooth, and great at holding a sharp point even with a lot of use. I only wish I could get every size and circular length in these needles!

I'm using mostly wooden needles, and I'm very impressed with the lovely finish and smooth join. Just wish they made an interchangeable set!
