Very smooth, deep black needles. These have instantly become my favorites. Shorter than I usually like, they are not sharp, so I don't feel like I am being stabbed with a toothpick, rather I like to rest the end on the heel of my hand while I am knitting. Keeps me from worrying about my stitches sliding off, though they wouldn't anyway, these have a lovely grip.
