Knitter's Pride Dreamz Interchangeable Starter Set includes 3 pairs of 4.5" tips in US sizes 6, 9 and 10. Each needle size is a different color of sturdy birch wood, which makes finding the needle you're looking for a quick and easy task. This set also includes 2 cables (one 24" and one 32"), 4 ends caps, and 2 cable keys, all organized in a clear vinyl case. Note: Our Fall 2011 catalog included US 8 tips in this set, but this has been changed to now include a US 9 tip instead. It's best to tighten your needles by holding the base. I recently was able to return to knitting after getting rid of all my needles. I really like using circular needles, but getting an assortment of fixed needles was looking prohibitively expensive. I'm in the process of making Gwendolyn, a cabled cardigan and a bulky shawl. I'm looking forward to a lacey something or other (not sure yet), so I really need an assortment of needle sizes.

Initially the needles looked and felt nice enough, the tip screwed into the cable securely, but a couple of days later I dropped my knitting into my purse and when I took it out the wooden tip had broken away at the join with the metal part. This has never happened to me before, not even with KnitPicks needles. Very disappointed, would not buy more.

I love these needles. Not slippery and very easy to change the cords. I like the needles are color coded so they are easy to pick out in my knitting bag. High quality.

Bought as a gift for a friend. I've used these and really loved them, but she was just getting started with knitting and I wasn't sure she would like the same thing I do, so this was the perfect gift to allow her to try them without getting an entire set. She was thrilled and that makes me happy. She uses them all the time.

Had tried three different needle types for a lace pattern with a fuzzy/splitty yarn and then came upon these. Eureka! Great points, smooth wood with just enough grab. Took me a while to figure out how to get the threads started but then it has held well after tightening with the key. I plan on getting the DPNs and the rest of the other sizes.

lovely to hold and use. easy to put together, light and compact to carry ones knitting. Would love smaller sizes to knit fine socks. Takes a full adult size sweater with ease, also a large shawl with many stitches.

I was very surprised by how well I like these. They fit very well in my small hands and I seem to knit effortlessly with them. I have known how to knit most of my life, but just last 2-3 years started making wearable garments. I am planning to ask for the whole set for Christmas.

The kit is great. I appreciate having all the accessories in one kit: needles, cords, tightening tool and caps. The needles do not loosen and you knit if properly tighten with the leverage tool.

Use to make scraves, dishcloths especially when I'm riding on a trip.
The needles are a little hard to attatch to the cords and they don't seem to tighten up flush with cord but the small gap doesn't seem to bother the yarns that I'm using now but I hope it isn't a problem when I used thinner yarn like sock yarn
