Fiber Dreams
Fiber Dreams 33 Aventine PDF
Some say that Aventine, one of the Seven Hills of Rome, was named for the birds that nested there. This delicate stitch reminds me of a flock of birds in flight, and so shares the name of that hill.
-Laura Patterson, designer
The project can be made as a narrow scarf, a wide scarf, or a shawl. It is worked from the cast on edge straight through to the bind off edge and incorporates both knit and purl stitches on every row to keep the edges from curling.
