There are not a few dog sweater patterns available today, in book form and on the internet, but the elegance of the three sweaters in Fiber Trends "Dandy Dog Sweaters" booklet is without peer. I was looking for a special gift for "Mia", the Chihuahua-Dachshund pet of my San Francisco friend. The cover pattern in a Beaded Rib caught my eye in a second. It was pictured on a large dog but all the patterns include a size chart from XXS to XXL, with a note on altering to fit an in-between dog (my predicament), as well as neck variations. Let it be said that it was easy and beautiful, and Mia this day is enjoying the rave reviews of her warm and classically stylish new sweater—and it fits!

I actually bought these patterns to knit sweaters for my cat who has a licking problem and licks the fur from his tummy. He is quite large so the small sizes are purrfect!! Not sure how he feels about this but I'm the boss here, right? Yeah, right!!!

I have used all three patterns inside this brochure seven times now over a two year period. Each of them have turned out wonderful. They are fast and easy to do. My puppies always look forward to getting into their sweaters; each has three & my mothers dog now has one. I always use washable wool so it breathes - machine wash then hang to dry weekly and more if required. They wear well and retains fit.
