Ring of Lace is an airy, lightweight circle of color that can be worn in a variety of ways. This design is an example of how a project in hand-dyed yarn can be planned according to the length of color repeat to create 'faux ikat' effects.

Size: 63" circumference x 10"
Yarn: 450 yards hand-dyed laceweight yarn with a color repeat of 54" (shown in Schaefer Yarns Andrea 100% silk)
Needles: US size 2.5 (3mm) circular needles in 24" - 36" length; US size 10 (6mm) circular needles in 24" - 36" length
Hook: US size H/8 (5mm), optional
Gauge: 19 sts = 4" in blocked lace pattern, using smaller needles
