Manos del Uruguay Empalme PDF

Empalme, which in Spanish means "splice" or "join", is a beautiful cowl from Manos del Uruguay. This circle scarf is knit in alternating stripes of Trinity Stitch and short-row wedges to give it texture and volume. It can be doubled for warmth in cooler weather, or worn loose on warmer days.

Yarn Requirements: Manos del Uruguay SILK BLEND (70% extra fine merino wool, 30% silk, approx. 50g/150 yds), 3 sk, shown in #3031 Nickel
Needle(s): US 8/5mm straight needles
Gauge: 20 stitches = 4” and 25 rows = 3½” over Short Row Wedge; 22 stitches = 4” and 11 rows = 1½” over Trinity Stitch
