This pattern allows you to make your laptop sleeve fit YOUR laptop perfectly, no matter the size. Bag and pocket are knitted in the round with custom fit and optional sizing. Instructions include 2 handle styles (to use with or without hardware) and an optional zipper closure.

Both the Perfect Fit Laptop Sleeve and Powercord Pocket are worked with double-stranded worsted weight yarn and can be worked in stripes or solids. We encourage experimentation! If you would like to work in happy stripes as we have done, we offer a listing of the colors we chose so you can replicate our results.

Yarn Recommendations: We suggest premium worsted weight wool & alpaca yarns in colors you love. Please check your unfelted and felted gauges by swatching a generous swatch or making the pocket first.

 Felted & Unfelted Gauge: Unfelted 3 sts and 4 rows per inch on US 11 needles; Felted 3.7 sts and 7 rows per inch on US 11 needles.  If you are using a yarn other than what is called for, knit and felt a generously-sized swatch to get an accurate felted gauge.  The felted gauge is crucial for getting an accurate finished sleeve size.

Yarn Requirements: Laptop Sleeve 840-1470 yd of worsted weight, feltable wool; Powercord Pocket 250-270 yd of worsted weight yarn

Needles & Other Materials: US 11 24" circular needles for Laptop Sleeve, US 11 16" circular needles for Powercord Pocket, US 11 set of dpn to work I-cord handles, sharp sewing needle & like color sewing or nylon beading thread, stitch markers, 1 20" or longer large-toothed zipper, magnetic snap(s) to close powercord pocket(s)
