Simple stockinette stitch worked in the round at 4.5 stitches per inch makes for a very fast project. Waist shaping is optional, so you can choose a straight or shaped fit. And there are only seven rounds of using 2 colors at a time for the band of spirals on the chest, and then you’re back to using only one color for the rest. Seriously, you’ll be wearing this before you know it!

This model was made in organic O-Wool classic (worsted weight) by Vermont Organic Fiber Co. (100% organic wool) (3.5 oz/100 g, 198 yds/181 m). Colors: 4302 Willow and 5300 Plum.
 
Finished Chest Sizes: 34¼ (37¼, 40½, 43½, 46¾, 49¾, 52¾)”/87 (95, 103, 110, 119, 126, 134) cm. Choose the size that is 2-4” bigger than your actual chest measurement, depending on how you want the vest to fit.
Gauge: 18 sts and 26 rows per 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch.
Needles: Size 8 US (5.0 mm) circular needles (16” or 24”), or size you need to get gauge. You’ll also need a needle 2 sizes smaller for edgings. So if you get gauge with a size 8, your edging needle will be a size 6. As always, do a gauge swatch before you start.
Yarn: MC: (willow) 285 (320, 355, 385, 405, 455, 480) yds; CC (plum): 205 (235, 260, 285, 310, 335, 355) yds.
