I love this yarn. It is super-soft non-hairy alpaca and super-soft wool. The tonal dying is beautiful. The texture of the yarn is really nice for cables. If you are looking for a hard-wearing work-horse of a yarn, this isn't it (soft, squishy yarns tend to pill a bit), but for a medium-wearing yarn it's terrific. There is enough wool in this yarn to keep the alpaca from growing and stretching out-of-control. I have made hats that kept their size, and bought a sweater quantity this time. Misti Alpaca Tonos is one of my very favorite yarns to knit with, and the luxurious finshed pieces are always appreciated.
