I love alpaca for its soft texture, and it is hyperallergenic. I make mittens out of it and donate them to my church Christmas fair. Alpaca is not so good for sweaters because it pills.

Like the previous reviewer, I LOVE soft yarn, and knit for people who won't wear anything remotely scratchy. This yarn is probably the softest I've seen, so easy to work with, and looks beautiful knit up. The pink is gorgeous, and I only wish there were additional closeout colors!

I crave softness in a yarn and I am picky. Every yarn I debate goes straight up to my face. This yarn is incredibly soft. It also knits beautifully. No splitting and not too bulky finished. Simply georgous finished product ...and soft enough to sleep in.
