Cascade Pacific is a worsted weight, affordable, completely machine-washable yarn in a huge range of colors. Pacific is an unbelievably soft acrylic and wool blend, and has a lustrous sheen which gives depth to the many hues that are available in this yarn. There's really nothing that Pacific isn't great for: sweaters, blankets, baby projects, or anything that's worn next to the skin. Made in China

yarn splits too much
from Portland, ME
Just picked up a skein of this to use in a hat for my son that requires ribbing. The yarn splits so much that I am constantly losing stitches or accidentally adding them in an attempt to pick up the split stitch. I wish it didn't unravel so easily.

Nice yarn - great buy
By Julie M.
from Glendale, AZ
I am using it for an afghan and have a long way to go. It is a bit splitty but not bad. Just keep an eye on it. I recommend sharp needles. It is also a bit slippery but, again, not too much. I had to switch from nickel to birch needles, which really helped. Not for a beginnger but if you can deal with these 2 issues, I certainly recommend this yarn. I wish it had more colors:)

I would buy and recommend this yarn.
from Wooster Oh
Felt great to touch, and work with. The baby blanket came out great. I was really impressed. My main concern was softness, and this yarn really met my expectations.

Great for baby sweaters and blankets!
By Knitting Ciocia
from Boston, MA area
I usually like strictly natural fibers. Saw this on yarn shop shelf with gorgeous pastels and tried 2 balls ... first knitting a good sized swatch then washing and drying several times. Made baby garment (Knitting Pure and Simple top down infant hoodie) For parents who are both working and always on the run, this 40% Merino 60% acrylic is GREAT! Have since made 4 more of same baby sweater. It is the go to gift for baby showers at present, when no time to knit a blanket. Would also be good for baby blankets.
