Difference in yardage between skeins

I had bought two skeins and each one followed the pattern - 3 sts. The first one was a great length; however the second color doing the same exact 3 sts was about 5 inches shorter - VERY DISAPPOINTING for the price.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
