Katia Oxford is a single-ply, versatile DK weight yarn in beautifully blended colors which have a tweedy effect when knitted or crocheted. This wool blend is machine washable, so it's great for any project you'd like to be easy-care. Made in Spain
Can't remember why I bought this, but have just brought it out for a top-down crocheted sweater and have been very pleasantly surprised by the overall look of the fabric. I order the Ecru, which shifts subtly from ecru through ivory, very light beige, etc., with occasional black flecks. It's the essence of cozy and has a look reminiscent of mountain lodges.
By the way, it's listed as DK. It's worsted.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: Katia suggests this yarn knit up to 5.5 stitches to the inch on a US 5-6. This puts the yarn in the Dk category, but it can certainly be knit at a worsted gauge too.
