Quick Knits, Great Colors
from Providence, RI
I made a quick watchmen's style hat, took about 2.5 hours total. Very soft, lovely color that Madelinetosh is known for, and the varigation is subtle and adds a nice dimension to knits with simple construction. My only con was that it was easy to accidentally split the yarn while knitting because of the looseness of the twist.

Makes us sneeze and wheeze
By Travelin' Quaker
from Oxford, GA
Ok, I have no complaint abou the texture or any of the normal yarn stuff. Also, Tosh is my favorite yarn, so this is a weird complaint, but the last batch of ASAP (different colors) makes everyone in the house wheeze and sneeze. I don't know why :( I'm not going to waste a bunch of Tosh yarn so believe it or not, I'm wearing a pollen mask while I knit with it, and will wash the finished product as soon as it's done.

Beautiful yarn! Not super bulky IMO
Gorgeous yarn! I purchased 1 skein of Baltic and I am in love with the color and the softness. It is definitely not super bulky, IMO, but a good bulky. I agree with the previous reviewer and appreciated her pictures of the difference. I was planning to use 1 skein with the same pattern for a cowl for which I had previously used Rasta, but now I am not sure I will have enough yarn to achieve the size I want. I may have switch gears and find a different project. I also agree that size 15 needles will be the way to go! I recommend this yarn.

Comparable to Malabrigo Rasta
from San Jose, CA
If you're looking for something comparable to Malabrigo Rasta, this comes pretty close. I'm hoping the supply and colors will be more consistent than Rasta seems to be. Even though this yarn is advertised as super bulky with identical sts/yardage/recommended needle sizes, this yarn is NOT as bulky as Rasta (and slightly less fuzzy) - I tend to prefer 15 or 17 needles with Rasta, with ASAP I wouldn't go above 15. It IS just as soft if not softer, though. Very comfortable against the skin! Absolutely gorgeous yarn. Works up great for a single skein scarf.
