Manos del Uruguay Serena Semi Solid is a luxurious, season-spanning blend of super-soft baby alpaca and pima cotton in a sport weight. Serena is hand-dyed to create a marbleized, subtly striated effect that forms a rich palette of glorious colors. No two skeins are exactly alike and there are no dye lots, so it's recommended to buy enough yarn at one time to complete your project, and to alternate skeins. Made in Uruguay

I am knitting the Galicia sweater in the color "Fig". These hand dyed colors are gorgeous, but you need to take the "Hand Dyed" label seriously. There's color variation between hanks and within the same hank. I've been alternating balls with each round and that's working great. This yarn feels great in your hand and the fabric is wonderfully soft. It wanted to slide off my metal needles, but one I switched to bamboo it's been very easy to work with.

Feels better than it delivers

This was part of a 2 skein shawl kit. It is very soft and the slightly heathered color is nice. However the color from skein to skein are very different and combining multiple skeins in a project is challenging, depending on how varied the colors are. The yarn also splits quite easily.
