I'm a German sock yarn addict in general...but Regia just takes the kuchen for its colors, workability, wearability, washability, and 10-year guarantee. This color line was Regia's homage to a children's book about the Sock Monster named Flusi who is responsible for the disappearance of one sock in each pair. A little girl named Maja befriends him and learns about that sock mystery. She also learns about friends (let them be who they are) and monsters (that goes double). The colors in this line match various characters in the book. 1802 is Flusi himself.The yarn is the usual wonderful Italian spun 4-ply wool-nylon blend that Regia does so well. At 210 m/50 g (enough to make two smaller children's socks), this is a wonderfully fine yet beautifully springy yarn. The color repeat of the Flusi line is short, designed as it was for children's small socks...though you could have a ball making other garments as well. The colors are cheerful without being condescending, and at [$]/100g, WEBS again delivers Regia 4-ply at well under the usual retail prices.
