        Comments about Shibui Silk Cloud:

It is so soft. I used this yarn to make a pair of socks for an antique reproduction lady doll. It is very elegant. This yarn would be nice for a scarf or shawl for a lady or child doll.

It would also make a nice shawl for people too.

This yarn is ethereal and I am addicted! The shawls I have made seem to float on air. I love the warmth without the weight. Aptly named.

          Comments about Shibui Silk Cloud:

Soft, nice hand, beautiful in lacy items. I have made two shawls with this and get compliments all the time. Try not to unknit or tink this yarn - it does stick to itself and re-knit portions aren't quite as nice. For the small area I did re-knit, it was not noticeable after blocking.

          Comments about Shibui Silk Cloud:

I used this yarn alone to knit scarves for my friends for Christmas. I made 12 of them using size 10 needles and a lace pattern in a 'gifts to knit book". They all loved them, as I do the two I made for myself. I went to a demo at a local yarn store and learned how this yarn can be combined with another sock or sport weight yarn. I have made 3 hats and am currently crocheting a sweater for my daughter using Silk Cloud and Cascade Forest Hill, a wool silk fingering weight yarn. The finished product is as soft as a cloud. The only bad thing about this yarn is pulling out already crocheted or knitted rows. It sticks together and ripping out is really awful. So DON'T MAKE MISTAKES.

            Comments about Shibui Silk Cloud:

I always enjoy knitting with Sibui products. Excellent quality and unbeatable luster and drape. This gossamer kid mohair and silk yarn is easy to work with as mohair character yarns go....frogging is not easy, but otherwise it is a dream. It is great to knit with on its own, with single or multiple strands, or in combination with other yarns. I am using it with 1strand of Rowan Fine Art to make a cardigan style jacket.
The color and texture is gorgeous....silky and not itchy to me, with little shedding. I recommend using wooden or bamboo needles to keep silky yarn from slipping while knitting.

                  Comments about Shibui Silk Cloud:

I used the gradient scarf pattern but decided I would have a hard time finishing in the seed stitch so I used a plain garter stitch. This yarn is so fabulous that it still looks wonderful. The colors worked so well together, even after ordering on the net and not being sure of the shades. This is pretty pricey yarn but well worth it.

Everyone says their mohair yarns are soft but this one really is. The silk content adds a special sheen and the mohair brings a nice halo. Soft on my hands and face.
