Stunning color! Zen Yarn Garden Serenity Silk + is a fingering weight yarn in a range of amazing, hand-dyed colors that you have to see to believe, in a super-soft blend of superwash merino, cashmere and silk. Each hank is hand dyed and unique - so if you're using more than one, it's best to alternate. Several of these colorways are unique and dyed exclusively for WEBS, and are marked "exclusive"! Incredibly, this luxurious yarn is also machine washable. Made in Canada

Buyer beware-- colors are not as shown
I've ordered zen garden yarns before, and was somewhat disappointed each time with how the colors looked in comparison to the photos they use for advertising. If you read other reviews on here for zen garden, you'll see that this is a common comment. However, this last order takes the cake-- I ordered a skein of Evening Sky, which is a webs exclusive. The lovely picture shows a skein with blues, greys, gold, olive. I'm no stranger to hand dyed yarn (my favorite being Miss Babs), so I'm aware that there is great variance in them. The skein I received was super dark, 95% very dark blue and black. no hint of any of the colors in the advertising photos. To Webs credit, after I sent them pics, they sent me a return label. I'm officially done buying zen yarn garden-- the disapointment is just too much, when you are super excited for your order to arrive, and what you get bears no semblance to what is advertised.

Gorgeous color ways, soft, some flaws
First time using this yarn. I'm making a pair of simple gloves with a k1, p1 ribbing. The colorway is Frozen Pond which is prettier than site photo- rich purples and greens that give depth to a simple stitch. This is a light fingering wt, I got 8.5-9 st per inch on #1 dpns which is what I'm using for the gloves. (I usually knit to gauge or a bit tighter.)
I'm about 2" into ribbing and have had 2 knots to deal with- not the kind you have to re-join but a knot in the continuous strand. Not a huge deal but slows knitting and not easy with this wt of yarn. Also, some raw ends have popped up. I'll post a photo of what they look like. I don't think it will show in my gloves because of the colorway but wouldn't like it in a lighter color where it would show more.
I hope the yarn company fixes the flaws b/c I really like this yarn! Also, WEBS---- please consider carrying Zen Yarn's laceweight?! It's also gorgeous, 1000+ yds for 100 gram skein.
Btw, I hand wound this yarn because I did want to chance it on the swift.
