Comments about Schacht Flip Trap for Flip Rigid Heddle Loom:

The flip trap has made a tremendous difference to my weaving experience, especially when I am working with multiple shuttles. No more trying to balance things on my lap or shuttles hitting the floor! As a result, my weaving is going much faster and with far fewer annoying interruptions.

On the other hand, the flip trap is not perfect. Assembly takes some elbow grease, as it is held in place by being under tension. It takes some wresting to get the parts aligned and some courage to hammer them sufficiently into place so they stay there. Also, during weaving, the flip trap can get in the way when you need to reach to the far end of the loom, for example, when advancing the position of the piece you are working on. All in all, however, I am very glad I purchased my flip trap and would not give it up.

Comments about Schacht Flip Trap for Flip Rigid Heddle Loom:

It is a wonderful addition to my rigid heddle loom. I can keep what I need for a specific project at hand without having to go back and forth with what is being used with my floor loom.

Comments about Schacht Flip Trap for Flip Rigid Heddle Loom:

I always had trouble trying to figure out where to put my shuttles, especially when using two or more. With the trap, you just lay them right in front of you. The only downside is it adds to the length of the loom, so us short people have to stretch to reach pick up sticks, etc.

Comments about Schacht Flip Trap for Flip Rigid Heddle Loom:

The trap does exactly what it should. The one I received had a small manufacturing problem, though. The holes that the rods pass through to hold the trap in place were a little small on the end piece and just a hair out of place on one side. I had to use a small file to shave off just a little bit of wood so the pegs would fit. I also used a soft-headed mallet to ensure the pegs stayed in. Other than that, I'm happy.
