- Smaller size hat: US size 6 (4 mm), 16” (40-cm) circular and dpns.
- Larger size hat: US size 7 (4.5 mm) 16” (40-cm) circularand dpns.
- Notions: US size 7 (4.5 mm) crochet hook; tapestry needle; stitch markers.

Gauge:
Smaller size hat: 20 sts = 4” (10-cm) on size 6 (4 mm) needles.
Larger hat: 19 sts = 4” (10-cm) on size 7 (4.5 mm) needles.
Note: Both hat sizes follow the same instructions. The difference in hat size is accomplished by the needle sizes.
