Ashland Bay Jacob Wool is ideal for handspinning. This long-wearing naturally dark brown wool is an ancient heritage breed that has traditionally been favored for making fisherman’s ganseys and outerwear. The wool's medium staple length and crimp offer loftiness and warmth, and produce a textured surface in wet or needle felted projects.
Note: Fiber ordered by the ounce may have its quantity adjusted before shipping to reflect its actual net weight.

Comments about Ashland Bay Jacob:
the wool is good to spin with but is too coarse for next to skin wear so I would use it for weaving something that is not meant to be worn
