I will never knit with this yarn again. Although it is super soft and has reasonably good stitch definition, I have never in my life knit with yarn as splitty as this. You know that microfiber yarn at the craft stores, in all the bright colors? Yeah, Zenith is even splittier than that one. I cussed and cussed while knitting a scarf for my sister. From the other comments, I'm wondering if she's already felted it. Beware!

Comments about Di.Ve' Zenith:
I bought this yarn at Stitches 2011 based on advice from the Webs salesperson. I had a pattern for a dress that I wanted to knit. After reading reviews, I was concerned that the yarn would be too difficult to work with (splitty) and that it would felt when washed. So at Stitches 2012, I asked the Webs salesperson what she suggested and she told me to knit a swatch and wash it. I knitted a 5" x 4" test swatch and washed it in the washing machine with Eucalan. Using warm water and no agitation (only spin dry), the swatch came out fine. I can handle the splitty nature of the yarn by knitting more carefully. So far, I like this yarn.

Comments about Di.Ve' Zenith:
I knit the tonal afghan from Knitted Gifts with this lovely yarn - more than 70 balls, and I don't recall any knots. Knitted up beautifully, even for this novice (I was a novice at the beginning, but 70 balls later...). Soft and springy and very warm and touchable - my ONLY regret is that it is not machine washable - so my godson will have to be much more careful with it than I had planned when I ordered the yarn. I'm ordering more to make a sweater for myself - or maybe two.

Comments about Di.Ve' Zenith:
I am disappointed that all the knitters who complained about the yarn felting and shrinking apparently did not bother to read the label. It very clearly indicates (picture of hand in a bowl of water) that this item is to be handwashed only.
This is a terrific yarn, there should be no problem with splitting as long as the correct size needle is used and it has a smooth, rounded tip. I always use the regular nickle plated Addis, size 3 1/2 to 4 mm. Bamboo needles, lace needles, any low quality needles will cause a problem. Also, please do not knit this yarn with needles that are too large, this also causes splitting problems. This is defenitely NOT a wash-and-wear yarn, and is not suited for childrens' wear unless you plan to wash the garment by hand.

Comments about Di.Ve' Zenith:
This is an absolutely wonderful yarn if you don't mind dealing with a bit of splitting. I made a sweater for my husband and after I got used to the splitting, it went very quickly and I am very happy with the result. He has a warm, super-soft sweater that is gorgeous! If you aren't a fan of yarn that splits, don't knit with this.

Comments about Di.Ve' Zenith:
This yarn is an excellent value, but you do have to work carefully. I'm a tight crocheter and really have to watch out for splitting. Also, the yarn does untwist while being worked, not sure why.
Comments about Di.Ve' Zenith:
lovely to work with, nice colors. DID NOT WASH, SHRUNK down to a small baby size DO NOT USE if you want to wash
Comments about Di.Ve' Zenith:
This is an excellent, soft, spongy yarn, but the manufacturer recommends hand washing only. I tried a swatch in the machine as Webs recommends, and it felted. You should change your recommendation to match the manufacturer's. It is shameful to ruin a finely knitted item with misleading info.
Comments about Di.Ve' Zenith:
I love working with this yarn. It works up beautifully, is extremely easy to knit (& has never split contrary to some reviews). I keep buying it!
