Add some zing to a basic 4-shaft twill by advancing it. The pattern looks way more interesting than your basic straight draw threading and treadling. It definitely requires more attention both to threading and treadling, but the appearance makes it worth the extra effort.

Equipment: 4-shaft loom with 9-dent or 12-dent reed, minimum weaving width of 12”; 1 shuttle & bobbin; fringe twister (optional)

Total Warp Ends: 146, including floating selvages.
Warp Length: 3 yards allows for 72” woven length with fringe length coming from tie-on and thrums. Because the beat is fairly light, there will be a significant amount of take-up and shrinkage.
