Many adventurous fiber artists have delved into Noemi Speisers "Manual of Braiding," available for many years. That scholarly tome has challenged us for years due to its depth of scholarship on all matter braiding. Well, the author found a collection of loop braiding patterns from the 15th century and was able to study them and "crack the nut" for us.
