Valley Yarns Variegated 8/2 Tencel
We've seen 8/2 Tencel hand-dyed into a beautiful variegated product and wondered why we couldn't do the same on a larger scale. Now we have! We are absolutely thrilled to introduce 12 lovely variegated colors into our line of Tencel. Made from the same top-quality, A100 8/2 Tencel as our solid colors are, we anticipate new colors being added. $1.50 per cone charge for wind-off service. Comments about Valley Yarns Variegated 8/2 Tencel:
I've used the 8/2 tencel before to knit shawls. I love the feel and it holds up well to frogging. I'm a little disappointed with my recent purchase of the varigated Lake Combo. Based on the picture I was expecting colors more in the pastel range. Lake Combo is definitely more jewel toned and has a conciderable amount of green in it.

Comments about Valley Yarns Variegated 8/2 Tencel:
Am currently weaving with this lovely yarn into two scarves on my 8H loom. It was easy to warp since it doesn't knot and snarl and the warp just shakes out into easy-to-warp lengths. It's gorgeous on the loom - the colors are luminous! So pleased with this yarn that I've ordered more. what would we weavers do without WEBS? Weave on!

Comments about Valley Yarns Variegated 8/2 Tencel:
I'm making beautiful plainweave scarves using the variegated along with a coordinating solid. It weaves well and the finished hand is fabulous, so drapey.
I'd love to see more color ways....

Comments about Valley Yarns Variegated 8/2 Tencel:
I will never NOT use tencel. I use the 8/2 yarns for plying, warping & occasionally for chunks of weft. Loose tencel fiber has outstanding sheen and takes dye enthusiastically. It's in my top three for favorite fibers: wool, silk & tencel!

Comments about Valley Yarns Variegated 8/2 Tencel:
I'm making my first attempt at trying to use a pre-dyed yarn into what looks like a painted warp,(Handwoven Sep/Oct '10) since this tencel isn't handpainted, it's hard to tell where the "repeat" happens. I keep ending up with colors mismatched on my warping board (even though i'm going in circles, not back and forth). Anyone else ever try with machine dyed thread, or know how long I need to go before a repeat with this particular brand of variegated tencel? I love this tencel and would love to be able to figure this out if it's possible!
