Comments about 1450 Rayon Chenille:
I was hoping for a really bright orange, and this looked great on the website, but sadly it was a much more muted color when it arrived.

Comments about 1450 Rayon Chenille:
I use this chenille for weaving. I often use it as weft with a Tencel warp and it is heavenly! If used for warp, a fairly loose sett is a good idea. This allows the chenille to full a bit and to become nicely interlaced with its fellow threads.

Comments about 1450 Rayon Chenille:
The yarn is great, has a good weight and quality. The only problem I have is that the color is nothing at all like the color shown on the computer. A bit annoying, especially since there is a re-stocking fee, so either you pay up or live with poor color reproduction. I'm choosing the latter and have figured out a way to work through my purchase. No matter what, the yarn is great and so is the price.

Comments about 1450 Rayon Chenille:
I don't know why weavers are "afraid" of this yarn. I have only been weaving for a year and have mostly worked with Webs chenille. It is great and makes lovely, soft scarves.

Comments about 1450 Rayon Chenille:
I wove a scarf, and washed it according to the instructions given on the website. I hand washed it briefly (2-3 minutes) in cool water, mild detergent, then rinsed it in cool water. However, it still shrunk quite significantly, even before it dried at all. Luckily it is a scarf, and was woven to a generous length and width, so it will be OK. However, I would highly recommend dry cleaning if you want to avoid shrinkage.
