Comments about Valley Yarns 60/2 Silk:
This wraps at 72 wpi, so for plain weave, I find 36 epi to actually be perfect the way I beat. This is one of my favorite yarns - I just wish silk was less expensive.

Comments about Valley Yarns 60/2 Silk:
First silk I have woven with. Was nervous because it is so fine, but turned out great! I spent a lot of time untangling while warping the loom. Yarn is pretty strong.

Comments about Valley Yarns 60/2 Silk:
Set at 48 to 60 EPI, single or doubled, this silk weaves cloth with a nice hand; fabric that is soft and elegant, scarves and shawls that are light and drapey. I like the vibrant colors and they blend well; weave structures create subtle texture for interesting fabric. What's not so great? It's fine and weaving can take awhile but the results are fabulous. The price on a cone may seem high but the yardage goes far. And it's on cones so there's no time and energy spent winding into balls that inevitably fall apart. Sometimes used in combination with 20/2 silk but prefer the results with 60/2.

Comments about Valley Yarns 60/2 Silk:
Use a warping method that keeps threads under constant tension(i.e. back to front, and warping trapeze/valet if you have it)and you'll be surprised at how easy and enjoyable this 60/2 silk is to use.
