Lots of yardage and so soft. Wish I had kids to knit for but will make huge scarf instead. Very shiny due to silk and drapey.

I purchased this yarn to knit hats for new additions to the family. I was very pleased with the feel of this yarn. It is super soft and when knitted, has a beautiful drape. The stitch definition is very good.
The only complaint I have is that each of the three 50g skeins had at least one join. One skein also had a slub several inches long that had to be cut out...causing another join.
This was very irritating as this yarn shows every stitch variation and an inconspicuous join was almost impossible.
If only one skein contained a slub and/or join, I would understand and mark it up to random chance. However, with all three skeins behaving the same way, I am glad I didn't purchase it for a larger project. I am also glad I purchased it on sale.
Bottom line: beautifully soft and drapey, wonderful stitch definition, irritating because of joins.

Good stitch definition when I knitted a cable-heavy sweater. Alas, it pills easily.

Comments about Queensland Collection Joey's Baby Silk:
I like the way my cable stitches pop out with this sport weight yarn. And of course, I like the soft feel of it. It also has a good hand, and slips easily through my fingers.

Beautiful soft yarn. Using it for a baby shawl. Only problem, it will have to be hand washed.

Comments about Queensland Collection Joey's Baby Silk:
A nice yarn for accessories. I used it for a crocheted hat and a cowl. Both items ended up with just the right amount of stretch and "squishiness," and are pleasant to wear near the skin. My only reservation is that both skeins had knots, but luckily my stitch pattern covered them up. Overall, for the price, a lovely, warm, soft yarn for accessories.

This yarn is soft and silky, not like wool. I love it and the price is a bargain. It comes in balls, so you don,t have to roll it. I,ll buy more.
