Picked up a cone of this yarn while visiting Webs this Spring with the intent of using it as a "Tag along" yarn (to be used with another yarn whose color I disliked).
While it would make a nice "tag-along", I did not use as intended. Instead, made a lovely lace shawl with it! It turned out fantastic, and has received many compliments! The Color "Greyed Teal" was beautiful, yarn was very soft and had a wonderful silken sheen.
Would definitely purchase again.

The yarn itself is fine, no problems. But beware if a color is backordered! I was initially told that it would be between two and three weeks for my backorder to arrive. After not receiving it, I contacted them again and was told no, it could be another one to two months for it to show up as the yarn is manufactured for them by a mill outside of the country. Hugely disappointing as I ordered many different colors for several projects and now I am waiting for the backorder in order to complete these projects.

Comments about Valley Yarns 8/2 Tencel:
This yarn knits up easily with a machine, and makes a product with soft, fantastic drape. Knit at a gauge of about 5-6 st. to the inch, it makes a lovely, lacey cover for summer. Finishing, as with all very fine gauge items, was not fast, albeit done with a reasonable amount of effort.

Comments about Valley Yarns 8/2 Tencel:
I found the 8/2 tencel very well behaved and of course it comes in glorious colors. I have made several scarves and a shawl recently from it, all quite successful.

Comments about Valley Yarns 8/2 Tencel:
Great colors, great selection. Product is soft and strong.
HOWEVER upon opening the package and examining the cone, we noticed that the yarn on the cone had been cut - we lost about 1/4th of total yardage trying to Wind off to a point where we could pull a section of yarn off longer than a few feet. :-/ Sad.
I'm sure this is a one-of-a-kind flaw, but it will make me be more cautious in the future.

Comments about Valley Yarns 8/2 Tencel:
I really love working with this yarn , both the already dyed colours, and as a yarn for painting. It makes a great warp at 24 epi for most of what I weave, and the scarves I weave soften nicely after washing. They drape beautifully too.

Comments about Valley Yarns 8/2 Tencel:
I use a lot of tencel in my weaving studio and love the consistency of the colors of this tencel. Great sheen and beautiful drape on my finished cloth.
I must says that I would prefer to have this color range in 10/2 sized tencel! I do lean towards finer threads...
Service and delivery comments:

Comments about Valley Yarns 8/2 Tencel:
I used it previously in a Hunck Lace shawl and was not happy with the results. Although it has a nice hand, drape and sheen the fibers closed up too much to show off the lace. I will be using the current order in scarves.

Comments about Valley Yarns 8/2 Tencel:
I hand knit lace shawls on size 1 to 3 needles with this and they are wonderful. Blocks easily. Beautiful drape and so soft. Great weight for Texas in winter or in over air conditioned areas.
