Comments about S.Charles Collezione Panne:

This was a nightmare for me to work with. I tried to do the "Sandra Cabled Cowl and Beret"--which is a patter by "TSC Yarns," specifically meant for this yarn. Well, the yarn slips and slides--loops hide under other loops, and so I actually had to cast on three different times because the count kept coming out wrong. If you pull (frog) this yarn out, forget about getting it back on your needles the right way because the whole thing keeps twisting, loosing that flat look totally. It is so pretty and so soft, and perhaps it will work better for me in a very simple pattern. The thing is, whenever I wanted to check back on my pattern to see where I purled or knitted, I just couldn't discern the stitches. It really blends together and blinds you with the lovely brilliance. So, it would probably hide mistakes, but when working in a pattern repeat of 17 with knits, purls, and two types of cables, I wanted to hit myself over the head with a salami! Perhaps if you are very experienced or use this for a simpler pattern you will not experience my pain. I am a pretty good knitter too--I can whip through things quickly, but this was a big "no" for me. But yes, it is wayyy soft, shiny, and beautiful.
