Royal alpaca is particularly exceptional and comprises only about 1% of all alpaca fiber! It's comparable to cashmere in both softness and luxury (though alpaca is lighter and warmer), and is considered the "king" of alpaca fiber. So Aslan Trends Royal Alpaca is the finest alpaca fiber in the world. It's a truly special yarn, in an incredibly soft 100% royal alpaca. At 100 grams and 220 yards, this worsted weight yarn is an amazing value. Made in Bolivia

I made a beautiful drawstring men's hoodie. The fabric was beautiful and had a luscious hand, but when I started to wear it, it SHED horribly and pilled so badly that chunks of fiber were hanging off. The garment started looking very shabby in a short amount of time. I thought if I washed it, it would help, so I hand washed it as directed on the label, laid it flat to dry at room temperature, and it SHRANK significantly. I will never buy an Aslan Trends yarn again. HARDLY! luxury, I found this to be a very inferior product.

Comments about 12.99 Royal Alpaca:

I used this to make a kitty hat for the protest marches. Probably not the best choice as it is too soft and drapey. But I think it would be great if you wanted that drape. It was lovely to work with.

I made a draped sweater pattern and get compliments every time I wear it. This yarn is lightweight and warm. I own it in 5 colors and am tempted to buy more. I am using the baby yellow right now and am loving it more and more, which is a very good sign. It is beautiful.

I love this royal alpaca! It is really pretty, very soft, and has been dehaired which is really nice. I wish it was available in more colors.

      Comments about 12.99 Royal Alpaca:

I enjoy the feeling of this yarn both as I work with it running across my fingers and wearing the finished garment. It shows stitch definition well. One drawback is it pill with abrasion, but these are easily trimmed.

It is so gorgeous. And the weight is perfect. It makes the blanket very luxurious.

      Comments about 12.99 Royal Alpaca:

I ordered this yarn to make hats for my young boys. It is extremely soft and wonderful to knit. It does shed a bit, so if that make your crazy, you should take a pass. I bought more to make a herringbone cowl for myself and a hat for a friend. I still cannot believe how soft it is.
