I am currently making a tank based on a Berroco booklet pattern and I love working with this yarn! The texture is nubby as with any linen yarn but the tape-like construction make it a little interesting. Due to this construction, you have to be a little careful while knitting with it or use needles that do not have a sharp point or it will catch. Overall, the drape is very nice and I will use this again for other garments.

knitting with three colors. Black and gray are wide, like a ladder while white is thin, almost like a piece of string. This affects the appearance as the colors don't show equally and I have to throw some extra rows of white in between my 12 row pattern to visually balance the colors. Bummer.

I would probably not purchase it again due to the yarn feel.

Comments about BERROCO Linus:

I am making the sweater recommended from Interweave Knits from last spring. I would like the yarn to feel more linen like than acrylic. However, it is looking good and will be a staple sweater for me--I have problems with being too hot with some wool sweaters. It is knitting up fine, no splits but am using a blunter needle, not a pointy lace needle. I usually have to rip at some point due to inattention or whatever happens--too much chatting at Knit night. It rips easily and picks up easily. I have been liking the yarn and the pattern.

Comments about BERROCO Linus:

I purchased this yarn to knit a a pattern available through Berroco. I decided after receiving it that it would look and feel great in the Sunny Days Tank Top. It has avery soft and airy lace pattern which the Linus yarn is a perfect fit!! Very pleased.

Comments about BERROCO Linus:

Linus is softer than I was expecting and has great drape. This yarn is dyed in a way that gives the finished garment added interesting visual texture. It wasn't that hard to work with, but probably not best for beginning knitters. (It's not slippery but it can sometimes catch and it's can be hard to count rows and stitches.) I'll probably get some more before it's too late!
