This yarn is very interesting. I just finished swatching with it. It is light and airy like mohair but it doesn’t shed so much. I’ll be making a cardigan for my niece and I’m excited to use it for that.
Based on my swatch that I wet blocked, I know I am going to like this yarn. I was at first concerned that the yarn looked too thin to use the recommended needle size, US9, but after blocking the yarn blooms and creates a beautiful and lightweight fabric. I've never been disappointed with a Berroco yarn.
I love the fluffiness of this yarn, and how it will work for different gauges. I'm giving 4/5 stars because some of the fiber is coming off as I knit and I expect it will pill somewhat. The softness and airiness of the knitted fabric make this a fair trade off though.
Mochi is such a fun yarn! It's lightweight, super soft, and quite warm, not to mention gorgeous. I used it to knit a basic raglan pullover. The only unfortunate thing is that it's way too hot here to actually wear it right now! I have a feeling I'll be living in it when cooler weather arrives. I will definitely be ordering Mochi for future projects!
