Comments about Yarn: 4 Hanks each Berroco Vintage (100 grs), #5104 Mushroom (A), #5192 Chana Dal (B), #5107 Cracked Pepper (C), #5105 Oats (D) and #5177 Douglas Fir Norah's Vintage Afghan (Free):

I enjoyed knitting this afghan up because as I got bored of a square, it was done. I changed her colorways but stuck to her choice of yarn which feels wonderful for a washable fiber.

However, the first version of the pattern I received omitted side sections of the pattern for more than a few squares which made for a frustrating afternoon, until a managed to download another version of the pattern. Blocking is a must to ensure all squares are evenly sized. It's pretty heavy and cozy, and looks really impressive to non-knitters!

All told this was a moderately challenging cabled patchwork quilt. I wanted to do one like this, and it's done.
