Berroco Peruvia is a long-time favorite yarn at WEBS. This gorgeous yarn has an incredible selection of colors -- we have a weakness for beautiful heathers. Besides being lovely, it's a great value too!  Made in Peru.

I don't care for bulky yarn and hardly ever use it. This is an Aran-weight and isn't plied, so I was expecting a lot of bulk in the finished product. I made my husband a pullover and really got the best of both worlds--it knit up super-fast, and yet the fabric was smooth and conformed well to his shape. It really is perfect for warm sweaters without a lot of bulk. There are tons of colors so I'll be buying it again.

I bought this yarn based on the great reviews, sale price, and beautiful color. I'm making a vest with it and have been disappointed with its tendency to stick to itself and the resulting difficulty in ripping out rows to make corrections. It behaves like mohair! I imagine that it would be great for felting (but not what I had in mind). It may be that, once I'm finished, it will make a lovely garment. It's just a little frustrating to work with.

      Comments about "" Peruvia:

The maize color is a lovely, lively, butterscotch swirl; the photo does not do it justice. I purchased it to make a blanket, so I wanted something with subtle variation to give a wide expanse some spark of life, without competing with the elaborate stitch pattern. (And yet I wouldn't describe it as "heather.")It knits heavier than a worsted weight for me, has a nice drape, and is very warm and sturdy.

          Comments about "" Peruvia:

I used this yarn to knit incredibly successful fingerless gloves for my very large grown grandsons who, after their college graduations, were working with their father in his orchard -- eventually pruning apple trees in VERY cold weather. The gloves were received with tremendous enthusiasm -- and I was thrilled with them as well! Great yarn -- I hope to find many other patterns where I can use it. I've already bought a few skeins with no projects planned, just in case I need them!

I love this yarn. Beautiful colors, warm and soft, lite weighted. I knit sweaters and hats from it all the time and most of the time new items flying from my hands to the new owners very quickly :)

The service delivery was amazing. I got the yarn in 2 days which meant that I could keep on knitting uninterrupted! I got it during a 4 day power outage/ice storm so I had something productive to do in my confinement!

Peruvia is a wonderful workhorse yarn I return to - often. Right now, I am working on an afghan of aran patterns where I want some squishyness as well as nice drape. The stitch definition is good, gauge is easily maintained, and the yarn is soothing to knit with. I am delighted this yarn was on sale! As always, WEBS rocks!
