Our friends at Blue Sky Alpacas describe this yarn as "opulent meets orthodox", which certainly fits this yarn. A silky, itch-free combination of baby suri alpaca and the softest merino wool, the single-ply yarn will sing in textured or plain knitting. Made in Peru.

    Comments about true Suri Merino:

Lovely even color and very soft and easy to work with. Made an oversized sweater for my daughter and it drapes beautifully. Don't know if it will stretch - it's heavier than I expected. Only criticism is it sheds and has less stitch definition than I expected

      Comments about true Suri Merino:

This was a delightful yarn to work with. I did have to be careful to knit very exactly so as not to split off a fiber or two of the strand of yarn as it is not a tight twist yarn, but that is what makes it so soft.

This is undoubtedly the best yarn in the world! I would like to live in anything made with it. Soft enough for the most precious baby. It is not washable except by hand, but it is so lovely that I would never consider putting it in the washing machine. Suri merino reaches a new level of heaven!
