I ordered this in the natural darkest brown color, and it is a little lighter in person. However, it is so, so soft. The yarn has had no weird joins, and is super strong and very stretchy.

My only caveat is that is is a "thinner" worsted. The thickness does alter slightly, but not enough to negatively affect stitch definition. There is a light haze around the hat I am making--very light and pleasing. I could pet this hat all day. I love the natural color and feel, and unlike other dyed yarns, this does not hurt my eyes while knitting (dyes seem to make my eyes hurt), nor does it have any stinky dyed smell.

I was using this to knit my father a hat--in a "plain" manly color, but when I try it on for sizing, I am in love with the natural warm color myself. I think I might get more of this super lovely, warm, soft yarn to make myself a shawl. It's cozy, and one imagines feeling very warm and romantic and old-fashioned in such a garment.

The yarn was soft and the colors were beautiful and natural. The issue I had was that of the 4 skeins I had, none of the were split less than 6 times. Two of the skeins must have been made from the ends of a ton of different skeins. Some of the lengths were no more than 12 inches long. Makes it very hard to use the skeins in project without it becoming a pain to use. Not very happy with it at all.

Comments about 18.00 Eco Highland Duo:

I'm using it for a vest in stockinette. Good stitch definition in spite of its halo. Gets fuzzier with repeated handling. There are spots where it is very loosely plied and therefore has a tendency to split. Doesn't frog well. Seems strong; hasn't broken under the strain of my tight knitting.
I bought color 2203, Cafe Au Lait, and was afraid it would be too light. Not so! It more resembles "Latte."
I'm giving it 5 stars; after all, it is a single ply alpaca blend. I'll gladly live with the halo

      Silky soft

Comments about 18.00 Eco Highland Duo:

I second everyone's comments on angora-like softness, haloed stitch definition, and yummy natural colors. The yarn has no twist (is slubby) with slightly thick and thin stretches which made me use a smaller than recommended needle size so that my finished fabric didn't end up with thin spots. I have ordered this two different times and will order again. Every person without exception who has gotten one of these scarves has put it to their face and said something akin to "oh my ....gosh".

I love that it is not dyed. The light colour was a little more hard to work with than the dark, it also comes apart every now and then.
