When knit at recommended gauge, seriously stretches when washed so be wary. Wash aggressively block your swatch and knit to it. Then block finished garment to size. (Knit to fit does NOT work with this yarn.) Otherwise, a really nice yarn.

Comments about CASCADE YARNS Ecological Wool:

I have used this yarn for an Irish knit cable sweater, cabled boot cuffs, warm hats, and thick socks, I am currently using it for a cable and lace crescent shawl. The finished products are incredibly warm and I love the stitch definition. The yarn can split a bit, but blocks out beautifully. The yardage is very generous for the price. I will continue to use this yarn.

Great stitch definition, great for cable projects and soft!

Comments about CASCADE YARNS Ecological Wool:

As a knitwear designer, I was looking for an Aran weight yarn that was economically good for a large project, the feel of the yarn would be soft, and would display good stitch definition for a cable poncho design I'm working on. So far, I am not disappointed. Very nice. I'll be buying more! I will post a photo once finished. Buy with confidence!

Really Like This Wool

Comments about CASCADE YARNS Ecological Wool:

I purchased this yarn to make Elizabeth Zimmermann's Garter Stitch Blanket. I have only completed one section, but I am really liking the stitch definition and how it knits up (double stranded). It even has a slight lanolin smell which you don't find in in most mass-produced yarns and which I love. Especially for something like this blanket.

If you're looking for a great natural yarn with a wonderful hand, Ecological Wool is it. A lot of yardage for the price. Finished pieces look expensive. Wonderful for Aran work!
