Lovely yarn

I made a hat for a son's friend. At first i didn't think it looked very 'tweedy' but as it knitted up, the tweed was more obvious.

Very soft and and I like the textural appearance, but it was a nightmare rolling it into a ball from the swift. I thought the first skein was a fluke, but we had problems with all three. One person trying to pull the fibers apart while the other was winding. If it came already in a ball I would highly recommend it.

I am making a cape from this yarn. I mis-read the directions and had to unknit a couple of rows: very easy to unknit. It didn't look raggedly at all. I love this yarn.

        Comments about false Majestic Tweed:

I am currently making a Tunisian crochet sweater. This yarn has a marvelous look and feel. What makes it so frustrating, though, is that the yarn has so many knots. I never have had knots as frequently as these appear. I will be weaving in a lot of yarn from having to cut out the knots and bring in a new string of yarn.

While I haven't used this yard yet, I am eager to unwind it and crochet a scarf with it. I might even knit it instead!

It's very lovely, soft and squishy.
